I want to go with the e85 route but I like road trips in my evo too much. Wish more places carried e85.

I just bought an evo IX with:

BBK full ported
Perrin Intake
HKS 272s
Walbro 255
780cc injectors
Perrin 3port BCS

I was planning on going with pretty much everything in your list except 4" ets fmic+piping or maybe the Garret core instead of Perrin and GSC S2s instead of the Kelford 272s. My goal is 400+ whp on 93 pump but I accept the fact that I may have to spray meth to achieve that since E85 isn't available here.

I'm glad your happy with your numbers, but I would have hoped you would have made a little more given the mods are similar...closer to 375 or there about given your boost on the BKK. ATM with those mods and self tuning I'm making 320 whp in VD @ 25 psi flat on a completely stock exhaust with mild cams. I think it should be doable given the it's a mivec motor with lower mileage and the octane will be higher.

Anyway...not trying to take away from your thread. Good luck and good numbers!

I thought you'd make more power, but if the car's fun, that's all that matters!

I understand it may be low but there are a few things to consider.

Most other states have 93, with that I would make 370 easy.

Another thing is that I wanted this to be a conservative tune. 370 was possible with some timing adjustment.

fftec strongly urged me against a BBK, did they recommend something else to you?

Yeah they said gt3076

They don't like stock frame turbos, especially bbk because they have seen alot of failures first hand.

If you buy one get it used

Just got tuned on e85!

416/373tq on a mustang dyno

Car pulls great, and the car made 425 osh but I requested that timing would be dialed back by one because I do have a stock bottom end and I just past 100k.

91 octane sucks. I know what its like. Kinda suprised with the BBK full you didn't make more than 350 but good E85 numbers.

I have a question in regards of FFTEC. Did they require you to do a predyno inspection before tuning?
I called for tuning prices and the person I talked to said it is a requirement and they charge $120 for it. So tuning will cost me a minimum of $620 instead of $500.

Yes but it's worth it, they may find issues that will hold back power.
My throttle body seals were leaking, and o2 housing gasket as well as my uicp.

So I fixed those and came back.

I didn't think it was worth it at first but it is.

It is critical to inspect those things prior to tuning. But it takes about 10 bucks and a couple hrs to do it yourself. Make a boost leak tester and look and feel for exhaust leaks.
Plus the fact that many other tuners do that for free. And charge half that much for tuning. I paid 300 for 4 hrs of tuning. And he changed plugs, a test pipe gasquet ... ect all for free. Just saying. But whatever makes each person comfortable with their tune. That is important so if ffteck did that then everyones happy.
