Does anyone recognize this dyno? FP Black with monstrous low end power

i have no idea why, but i never saved the link to the thread with this dyno. i really wanna know what mods were done to put out this kind of low end torque with an FP black. does anyone on here recognize this dyno? the car is Robert's (from FP) - but i can't find the link to his build.

Built 2.3, ported head, fp5r's, everything and the kitchen sink basically. Really is a monster.

There are lots of secrets in that car, hardware is only so much of what is going on. I wager the MOTEC and the person behind the MOTEC is a fair percentage of what you are seeing.

That was when they were doing shaft speed testing on the black to find what it could spin to IIRC, Aaron.

soo umm if you happened to have a 2.4 LR with a s300sx fmw (hta3586ish size) what do you think the motec would be worth with a tuner on your level?

Depends on the S300sx, but I would presume 800whp if it truly moves as much air as a 3586.

since no one seems to know what the mods are on the car, i've got a question for the guys that build these for a living - what's it take to get low end power out of an FP Black (or MAP's EFX turbos) evo? i know the tuning plays a major role, but there's gotta be more to it than just that and a 2.3 stroker, isn't there?

i really wanna know since i plan on building a 500 to 600 whp beast on e85 once i get a decent job after college. i've still got a lot of time until i reach that point, but it'll eventually happen - so the info will definitely be useful.

^^^the poster a few posts ago said some of the mods, Aaron was saying that the em and tuning strategy is what did it. I couldn't stand a car with that torque dive; might spool great, but for every huge early torque curve, there is the reciprocal drop off. This really is a tuning strategy and this car was probably tuned for the road course and or autoX.

Its a 2.3 IX with 5Rs, modified MIVEC, I believe 9:1, Full 3" O2 housing, and 40+ psi of boost. I dont know much of the specifics past that. Obviously it was on race fuel so that and timing can go a long way at that boost level.

ya thats robert @ fp's evo from 2010. that was a crazy torque curve for sure. now dig up his HTA71 graph.. that ones wild also.

I loaded mine up in 4th as well but on a dynojet and mine did this with basic bolt ons:

570wtq before 4000RPM.. when you load it up in 4th it will make tons of power downlow.

that was with (evo 8 no mivec) - br 2.3 / head, kelford 272, map rev 3 intake mani & map ported exhaust mani, and etc.

It has been modified to allow for more range of travel. It has been a few years since that dyno day but it was sick watching it. Aaron is correct the the man behind the keyboard is a big part of the equation.
In addition to what Aaron already mentioned it had at the time a ported intake/exhaust manifolds and 65mm TB. I don't remember if the head was ported but I'd assume so.
