I just had the pleasure of finally tuning Don's EVO9 after years of waiting! Don bought the car new in 2006 and only put 179 miles on the car. He turned it into a project and built the car using our catalog to do so. Life got busy and complicated and the car had to sit. It seemed with each time he was ready to get it in for a tune something else popped up and it had to be delayed.

It was seriously a great pleasure to see him and finally get a chance to dyno the car and get it tuned so he can finally enjoy the car.

As you will see in the pictures below, it's flawless, as anyone expect with 189 miles on the odometer now. It was so nice to see a car that hasn't been hacked up, rusted, dented, dirty, scratched, missing bolts etc., I sure miss seeing these cars when they were brand new and perfect!

Don's attention to detail on the build was second to none, not a leak, not a drip, nothing loose, no intercooler pipes popping off etc. Wiring was flawless, installation of everything was just meticulous. Beautiful.

The car is equipped with:

BR Stage 3 Shortblock (2.3L)

BR Stage 3 Cylinder Head

BR Cosworth M2 Evolution 9 Camshafts

Low boost was set up at 27 psi and the car made 514 whp and on high boost, which was 37 psi it put down 614 whp.

The car is very responsive and was hitting 20 psi of boost in 3rd gear at 4400 rpm, which is very good.

Here is some eye candy for you guys.

Congrats Don for finally getting in and getting the car tuned. I hope it puts a big smile on your face for years to come, enjoy it!

Was the ACD removed or just moved to another spot?

And why did it have to be the ugliest color Evo offered, with the EVOLUTION IX center trunk badging and the JDM rear?
