Smurfzilla no more: SpecOps Built FF T4 6265. Back in the saddle

Spec-ops built 2.4L:
CBRE Head
GSC S3 cams (and req hardware)
2.4L block
Manley Billet Crank
Manley Turbo Tuff rods
Manley Pistons (standard compression)

Those are the main points.

Shep rebuilt trans and tcase
QuarterMaster 8-Leg
FIC 2150's
Ported Stock Intake Manifold
Aftermarket Throttle Body

JDL Front Facing Turbo Kit (1st one)
Old School PTE BB 6265 1.00 A/R

Thats all I can think of thats relevant.

Their Mustang dyno is heart breaker for sure. They had someone who dyno'd at their facility and go to another dynojet and they estimated it reads about 13% lower (also verified by a quick virtual dyno comparison).

Anyways enough talk.

And obligatory video

Build thread will be coming. I can't think of a nick name for the car now. I liked Black-Ops but my wife thinks its ghey. I was thinking blackzilla but I've been told there is a prono-star with that name, lol. Any suggestions.

Thanks for choosing us for your build Hurell. Car is making good power on our dyno and realized that I did the overlay with the 2nd to last pull. Last pull did 620hp where I left it.

Just for reference, we built/tuned a customers car from VA with a Spec-Ops 2.3l/T4 TS 3582 that made 553whp on our dyno and took it to a Dynojet 424xlc2 in VA and it made 63xwhp. This car is making good power and will be a fun street car

@TigerJC
Naw I didn't sell the blue car, it committed hari kari. Lol. I'll detail specifically what happened to kill the blue car but suffice it to say, it was NOT salvageable.

On the GTR thing I gave it an honest thought but I wouldn't be able to afford to mod it the way I'd like currently. I make decent money but I think I'm still a little ways off. I could afford it but it wouldbt be smart financially. I also didn't want another car note.

It is still my golden unicorn but for now I'll have to make due with raping them (as long as they aren't an alpha, lol.

40psi to 33psi. you have a 7psi boost drop. you're sacrificing 70whp~ uptop from that drop in boost.

The GTR's have trans issues or id have one right now sitting outside. I am gonna hold off on entering that platform like i did the evo platform. but i did research them a bit and that is a badass platform to enter minus trans gremlins. it would be a big investment for me since i'm a tuner. Cobb AP is the way to go for the GTR's and the Cobb staff is awesome.

Matt can speak to why there is a drop but I'm pretty sure that turbo is running out breath up top. I plan to upgrade to a 6266 after the summer at best or possibly close to Christmas. That should help with the drop some. Bigger Intake Manifold as well I would think.

The log shows he's only dropping to 36psi. Not too bad and the Hallman MBC seems to be working just fine.

ya 36 is much better than 33. 40 uptop though would get you up there quite a bit more. if hes happy how it pulls though then thats all that matters.

I just noticed you posted a virtual dyno graph that went past 8000RPM. that means you're using 2byte RPM and not 1byte RPM.
from my experience, 2byte RPM should not be used in vd. it throws the numbers way off.

regardless of the numbers if the customer is happy with the results that is all that matters at the end of the day.
