Atif's 870whp LR2.4 Evo 8

Atif had a goal when he bought his 2005 Evo 8 over 2 years ago. 700whp. The car came to us with issues that we had to sort out and get ready but it turned into one thing after another. While that is a book unto itself, the main thing is that after we got the bottom end sorted out and the head fixed the car made it to the dyno.

Mods as I know them -

Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc injectors
ER Race Port cylinder head
GSC +1mm valves on Intake/Exhaust
AEM V2 with flex fuel
ER tune
3" UICP
Boomba 75mm TB
9.5:1 LR2.4
CP pistons
Manley 100mm Billet crank
Manley Turbo Tuff connecting rods
Precision 6466 V band turbo
STM hot parts kit
STM oil cooler
BR double pumper
AMS F1 intake manifold
Kelford 272 camshaft set
E85

The drivetrain has all been gone through by TRE with an Ultimate ratio 4.11 FD trans, TRE transfercase with Wavetrac LSD, and TRE 12 disc rear diff upgrade.

Dyno sheet -

Congrats Atif

Aaron

Can do. I never ran the boost that high and I tune different than Zach and Luke. Down low looks like I got my but kicked but not really. Let me find a 38psi to 38psi on the 3586, thats what I presume you wanna see?

I dont think its fair to compare the cars since the 4.11 final drive loads it harder and it spools faster, though I have MIVEC for what that is worth. The AMS F1i vs the Magnus V5 has already had its own test and we know the difference there at 600whp so thats about even. Atif has a 3" UICP and 75mm Boomba which we have learned is worth more, especially at this level, where I had a stock TB and 2.5" Upper.

The next thing is that while the heads were both ported by Jeff, I have/had R2s where this only had Kelfords and had to run 2psi or more to even come close to the same power. All of that aside you can see they spool pretty similar. Put a 3586 in a V band housing though and it will murder my car on spool (200rpm) as well as make more power (20whp in our test).

And corrected-

All in all this SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR POWER COMPARISON. Spool maybe but even that is sketch.

Ya 4.11 really loads it up down low. I noticed that right away in my new setup.

That looks like to much fun for the street.
