NE Ohio Tune
Agree with all of thee above 13's for afr is scary lean, that even scary if you were running e85. No forced induction car should ever run that lean. Best way I can put it is spend the money now with a competent tuner or get ready to build a new motor.
Yeah I saw this car at the dyno day and the pull was roouuuugh. I heard at that point though you just had a bunch of bolt-ons with the stock tune though... not sure whether that's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me after looking at the graph.
Go over the car carefully, make sure everything is in good mechanical order, make sure you have no leaks of any kind, then drive it nice and easy over to Buschur and leave happy.

I don't wanna bad mouth Smokeys Dyno at all but they said they could not tune my car for me. Something about they did not have a tuner that knew how to tune it. I only wanted to take it to them because Smokeys Dyno is about 5 minutes from my house.
Hello. I saw your car listed was an Acura RSX Type S. I work at smokeys and its not that we don't know how to tune it. We just don't specialize in tuning Hondas and Acuras and we don't have a big Honda/Acura following as far as the brands are concerned to invest in training for our tuners and purchasing software. We prefer not to experiment/learn on customer cars so we usually just refer the work out to other tuners in the area that specialize in them so you get the most for your money. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The thing was that no one even asked what I was running or any other questions other than my car, year, and model. So I just haven't had anything to say about it but what I already said about my experience.
Don't get me wrong though, I am a fan of the cars your shop has tuned and believe it to be knowledgeable. I just don't have feedback first hand.
alahkazam,
I apologize for the confusion and that you were called the day of to cancel. We had a new salesman for a short period of time that was unaware that we refer Mitsubishis to other local shops. We actually don't tune Evo 8/9s in house. We used to use a company called Deipro tuning for that several years ago but have not tuned an Evo 8/9 in house for anyone in the past two years since moving to our new location. That work gets referred to other North East Ohio shops. There are a great deal of tuning facilities already in our area that specialize in Mitsubishi tuning and are very good at it. Because of this we feel there is no need for us to try to compete in that market. We would rather not have you pay us for something that we don't specialize in and then you have a negative experience because your car doesn't run to its full potential. Again sorry for the confusion and inconvenience.
