Evo 9 Stock block/turbo/cams Basic bolt ons E85 & Track times

This customer came to me and said "I want a tune to run 11's with a good trap speed if possible my current best on 101 octane is 12.05 @ 112mph"

So on E85 we tuned the car at night, temps in the 50's car made close to 400whp at a conservative 23-24psi to keep torque down and flat.

Mods on this car are Basic:

Stock Block/turbo/cams
Forge WGA
hallman mbc
ETS 4" fmic with ets short route piping
Injen intake
invidia o2 housing
3" TBE,
Exedy Twin with push conversion
FIC 1250cc
Walbro 255
Tephra v7 MAF /w mbc

Very safely the goal was reached. Even racing in 80F+ temps at the drag strip the car still managed a 11.84 @ 115.56 reaching the customers goal.

If the temps were the same as when we tuned the car , The car would have trapped around a estimated 118-120 no problem.

Graph & Pictures:

(Slip was 80F temps) (30F hotter then tuning temps)

Thanks alot Tom for tuning the car when you did! I know your a busy guy. The night I was tuned a pretty cool cold front came through and it was rather chilly outside. This was ran at import faceoff last sunday and I backed it up with 3 more 11 sec passes! My mph was kind of down but I think my driving alone could make it go up my evo 9 gearing makes me confused if I should shift or ride out 4th lol. i shifted to fifth on my fastest pass with most mph. Im tagging rev limiter in 4th before I pass the traps. I will take the car back out soon and see what it does in a more test and tune environment.

Awesome numbers. Probably had some V8 guys who spend a lot more money to produce slower numbers embarrassed. "oh what turbo kit do you have? Uhh, it's stock. Ohh, who built your engine? Uhh, the factory. Ohh, are those slicks? Uhh, no, street tires. Ohh, are you spraying? Uhh, yeah, my E85 in your face bra"

Thanks for the cool little review I appreciate it. You're welcome. Thanks for letting me tune it.

Glad you reached your goal and we were able to share your results.

I don't think much different will happen riding 4th out, vs shifting to 5th as long as you can shift fast. I would like to up the limiter and have you ride 4th just to see though.

Is it the older forge bov or newer? I had a Forge type RS bov and it was really nice. I would not remove it if its older one.
