There are only 2 or 3 tuners here in Brazil that work with 4G63....

Get a remote tuner on the line or start reading the resources available to you here. You're driving a ticking time bomb.

I didnt see anything constructive here. I posted that I'm using a low timing map now, but nobody pointed something that will help in any point.

Headgasket issue if it raises fast and only under boost.

Check out the ecuflash section, there is a thread about timing maps. Might behoove you to peep that before traveling further, unless you just like building engines.

Contact Tom at Tscompusa and have him remote tune it. if you continue on you might pop the motor.

Ive read a lot of things about timing on EVO, but no one consistent about E100.

on topic "Let's see your fully tuned timing maps"

Like this guy:

7000rpm 13*
7500rpm 14*
8000rpm 15*
8500rpm 15*

boost: 42psi
turbo fp super 94
engine 2.2L

I don't trust the dyno as it's not properly ventilated. Timing seems a bit low to have reached MBT

any opinions?
seems the same timing Im using right now, so, why my tune is so off? Im runing just 15psi against 40psi from darwin_evo.

the basic rule is to stop add timing when we stop getting power (or start to get knock) right ? so we know that we reached MBT. I can add as much as my high timing map, the car is gaining power.

So now that I am at my tuning laptop I am taking a look at your ignition tables in AEM.

Your high timing cal has basically flat timing from 500rpm to 8500rpm at all in-boost load ranges. This is an absolute horrible tune and obviously from somebody that has no idea how to tune a 4G63.

I can 100% tell you that 19-21* at 3500 rpm with 15-25psi is way way way way way way beyond MBT for a 4G63.

I am absolutely amazed your rods are still in the bottom end.

Even at 30psi, the map is commanding 18* at 3500 rpm +. This would absolutely chuck rods out the block.

Now, your "low timing" cal is a little bit better in that it at least ramps up timing a little bit but it's still far off from a proper tune. I would highly recommend finding a competent tuner soon.

MBT of an engine doesn't change with fuel. Higher octane and better fuel just makes it so you can get closer to the engines MBT.

Nope. Lower octane just means you won't hit MBT before knock, higher octane means you'll get closer or to MBT without knock.

I have no interest in arguing with you on this very standard tuning concept.

Low timing can heat exhaust and high timing can heat the combustion chamber.

One thing that I canīt understand is that raising timing is gaining power, should stop if I passed MBT, right ?

People tune to mbt and then back it down 2 degrees or so.

Here's a good educational read about MBT.
