i will find more pics or ask from them, just tell mw what you will need.

engine displacement is 87mm bore x 79mm stroke 1878cc and long rods. 16.9:1cr, They used titanium rods at some old tests, i will ask some pics to upload here.

Everyday i will upload some pics and details. {thumbup}

Here we go again. In b4 ban.

All in all that engine bay is impressive.

Sharkbite2000 Aug 12, 2014 05:01 AM

Those parts look very nice.

wreckleford Aug 12, 2014 05:20 AM

What fuel does it run ?

vpracing fuel import 27psi boost, and then methanol M5

Sick!

We as a whole are pretty reasonable here. Post pics and you get good feedback!

Some beautiful parts there.

What is the stroke of that crankshaft?

egis Aug 12, 2014 06:26 AM

I saw extreme tuners Sweden.is this the same company,franchise or something?I like air to water ic in engine bay.not something you see every day.

thanks, i hope noone ruin this topic, 79mm. they built a new engine for more rpms with lower stroke. i will ask a pic to upload for you.{thumbup}

i upload some photos they made to piston crown designs same engine but different shapes and crs, my engine uses their 13.4:1cr pistons and works fantastic. :)

also i copy paste the data - infos from them below, that might be usefull to you.

4G63 piston crown design tests on dyno, 6 different crown design tests from 13.8:1 to 17:1cr.

We use same 4g63 platform-engine, same turbo, same cylinder head, same everything we just change the piston cr and shape to see how can be more efficiency. Tests was made with VPracing fuel and methanol M5. We swap 6 different sets of pistons.

We wanted to see flow - mixture around the piston and total performance at 14.7psi so as to study better the true efficiency, and if the perfect shape was quite close to our calculations.
There are some phenomenon generated there, the swirl and the turbulence generated by the piston movement are critical in determining the mixing efficiency and the actual location where ignition occurs. Because the piston is the only moving component in the cylinder after the intake valves close, the shape of the piston crown along with piston speed determines how much squish and swirl takes place in the cylinder. A sharp peak and deeper recess around it in normal designed high cr edged piston crown will produce more swirl than one that is less aggressive with round shape, high turbulence is a big disadvantage for emissions because clusters of fuels droplets can be thrown outside the main flame front. These small clusters of fuel ignite late and sometimes do not completely burn. From our tests we have notice over 140hp (10-15%) at same boost improving it.
