What Evo's came with the Infinity stereo system? Did they have the stock Head unit? I just bought my second Evo VIII (03) and the stock stereo sounds pretty darn good for me.

 

The SSL package came with the Infinity sub, I believe.

 

The SSL package did come with the Infinity system, which a 6 speaker system with an 8" sub in the back, powered by an amp under the driver's seat. I'm pretty sure the head unit is different in the Infinity system, as it outputs through the amp rather than directly to the speakers, and doesn't even have wiring to power the speakers directly.

 

did the 03's have infinity speakers in them? i know they didnt have the ssl package at that time.

 

Dont know if they did or not. Ive got 6 speakers, 2 in the doors 2 in the back and 2 tweeters, is that what they meant about 6 speakers? I dont have the sub though.

 

You must have upgraded speakers because my stock sound like Kmart speakers with a Kraco HU!
