If so, where did you put your magnetic antenna? I searched but didn't find much. I'm thinking that it would be best to run the wire under the backseat into the trunk so that the antenna sits on the trunk, centered, right up against the rear window. Has anybody done this?
Well shoot! If only the Evo were a hatchback
. I don't want some long black wire visible as it runs out of one of the windows or as it crawls up the rear one. Thanks for the reply, though.

We have sirrius. Both of us have the magnetic antenna mounted on the trunk. Works great. We lose reception somtimes on the backroads going under the trees. But so does my buddy with the antenna mounted to the roof of his RSX S
The problem with XM radio is their satellite is in geo-synchronis orbit over the equator, while the Sirius satellites orbit on a path that takes them directly over the US (so that two satellites are in view of the US at all times). This means that the XM satellite has a much shallower line of sight and will be more prone to being blocked. This isn't that big of a difference for environmental obstructions like bridges and tunnels (you're going to get interruptions regardless of which service you have). It is going to be a big deal if you mount it on the trunk, however, because you have the roof blocking from one angle and the rear wing blocking from the other.
I would have to disagree about XM attennas being better... I think it might be because they (xm) have 3 sattalite beaming down programming, rather then 2 (sirus)... but back to my point... I installed a lot of digital sattalite units, and I found that sirius tend to give me better results... plus XM programing sucks...

XM has their satellites stationary at the equator. Sirius has staellites above the US that move in a figure 8 pattern. XM sats are farther away so they are permitted to broadcast a stronger signal. Because of this Sirius antennas need to filter XM signal since their bandwidths overlap. An XM antenna will work for both Sirius antennas will not. XM has a larger repeater network for metropolitan and areas of tough terrrain, Sirius has less repeaters and time of day and direction of travel will have an effect on reception. They are 2 completely different systems, XM was first and was based on existing technology and that is why it is better. I still listen to Sirius though, I like their content better.

Doesn't O&A broadcast from Sterns old studio to all of his listeners who didn't follow him to Sirius? Didn't Howard just take off a Month and also didn't he just blow off Boy Gary when his Father passed away?
Mounted the antenna next to the antenna on the roof running back the the "cockpit" under the black (weatherstripping?) and through the door and under the dash.
If using FM modulation, 107.7 seems to work best in fresno. Just my .02
