PIONEER AVH-P6800DVD install grounding HELP!
Hey, I just got a brand new PIONEER AVH-P6800DVD 6 DVD Double Din for my Mitsu. I have couple friends who have installed theres but, everytime they shutdown and start up the car, the unit resets. All presets are gone, all bluetooth settings are gone. I think its because they are by passing the park break security feature so they can use the DVD player as they drive. Is there anyway I can install this without having the radio reset everytime? I live overseas and there is no law against it. I want to be able to use my DVD player while I drive but without having the radio reset everytime I turn it off. Please help!

i dont know a whole lot about stereo installation but could it be a wiring error with the constant power wire? The red one in the radio harness is always on. You use it if your installing an electronic boost gauge or defi control unit. I would imagine it to be used to keep your settings stored when the car is off?
Yeah, it does sound like the wiring is off... It sounds like they connected the 12v wire (typically yellow on radioside) to an acc wire on the car side... It has nothing to do with the E-Brake wire...
Thanks for all the help guys. I still have not received my unit yet. Got lost in shipping. I will install and send pics. But its not in an Evo. I sold my Evo, had an Evo 5 RS. Driving a Montero DID(Direct Injection Diesel). Day and night compared to the US version. Tough truck!
Hey guys, I figured out the radio does not reset because everything else is in place. Presets and all, just the bluetooth address book disappears and my bluetooth devices disappear. Could it be the bluetooth adapter wiring?
