Ok so i decided to go out and buy a JensenVM9311 indash cause i was bored with my money I guess anyhow, I hooked the the unit up to the harness that was on my last headunit cause it fit so i figured id try and see if it would work. I blew the 2 fuses (dome and Sound) in that yellow clip underneath the hood fuse box, replaced them and decided to use the harness i was givin with the unit, got it all wired up and it turns on! huray! I go to listen to some music and i have no sound Ive rechecked my wiring twice now and tightened my crimps on the wires, still getting nothing. When i plug the headunit into the harness i get a crackling noise through the speakers and it goes away. Is there possible another fuse i blew or what do u guys think?

 

unless your last HU was a jensen, plugging the old harness into your new indash was a stupid idea "just because it fits." (possibly really f'd up the indash now btw). if it was a jensen, then you must of did something wrong because you blew 2 fuses. (possibly grounded out something)

 

isnt jensen and nesa manufactured by the same company?.. anybody knows aout nesa?.. they are both pretty decent..
