my first audio job
after endless hours of reading I'm up to my first audio job ever.
good old Alpine 7894 mp3 deck (used , cheap)
MB Quart QSC 216 components in the front
MB Quart DKE 116 coaxials in the back
a/d/s p850 8channel bridged as 4 channel 150Wx4 RMS (used, cheap)
Monster Cable 4guage amp kit, 12gauge speaker wire and RCA cables (cheap on ebay)
total was approx $700
I guess this should be a good combo
amp is going to be installed under the passenger seat, running all new 12gauge speaker wires. Not sure if I need a capacitor, probably not.
Crossovers fit just fine inside the doors, runnig speaker wires (almost 3/8" in diameter) was a a real PITA, thanks to whoever recommended using a coax cable as a fishtape from the door side. It took a lot of wd40 but did the job.
Overall I try to pay attention to the details and really enjoy the process so far.
