HeadUnit Shopping...need some opinions

Basically i'm looking for a unit that will have an iPod hookup as well as auxiliary inputs and wireless remote. These are the basics. I also want it to look decent and what not...etc

Here are my choices...anyone with opinions let me know:

Clarion DXZ865MP
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vlHw2TA...00&I=020DXZ865

Alpine CDA-9857
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vlHw2TA...0&I=500CDA9857

Pioneer DEH-P7800MP
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vlHw2TA...0&I=130DEHP780

Any other suggestions are always welcome!

I have the Alpine 9857 and its great IMO with the stock speakers. For IPOD, you just have to buy this $20 cable and hook it up to the back of the HU. It will charge the IPOD as well and you control everything from the HU. With the other HU, you'll have to mount a separate IPOD tuner with the HU. The alpine comes with a wireless remote, however, it doesn't have an aux input.

I just installed this unit on my 06 RS.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UOIioJ2...133c8803&wm=cl

Panasonic CQ-C8803U
CD receiver with MP3/WMA playback

Note the 31 watts per chanel RMS and 70 peak.

Also used 4 polk DB675 speakers.

Crutchfield says it won't fit, but it will. Some hassle due to power converter box.

Speakers need a ring to adapt.

I am getting Eclipse CD5000 w/ aux inp, memory stick input, ipod connection option, Sirus option, Nav option, DSP surround, 7 band eq, time alignment and 8v preamp output!

Wow, that's like a dozen inputs all on the cleanest HU!!!

I'm running the Pioneer Premiere DEH-P980BT... I love it. I will be upgrading to a AVIC-N3 in March, however.

Alpine is good, I just don't like how most of them don't have a pre-amp for the non too serious customers.

Defintely go with the Alpine, I had one in my MR2 it was Amazing, And i got it from Cruthfield too, so they give you all the hard wear and the iPod Cable WOOO. You realy want the iPod cable if you have an iPod. It also comes with a remote, although you will probaly never use it. What so great is the sound quality and all the options to specificaly tune the sound to your liking, Its not a Clarion but Pioneer can't touch it. And what makes it better than a clarion is the alpine sounds just as good and has more options for less the price. SO Alpine my freind you pay for what you get, its got to be the most fairly priced radio on the market.

Haha, thats really funny, my 2 decks are either the cheaper alpine 179.99 deck... or that "419.00" pioneer thats 329.99 BUT you have to go to www.sonicelectronix.com BEST SITE FOR CAR AUDIO PRICES. Period (IMO) Haha, good luck... but im going with the pioneer, just for the output and the display, even though i heard its sorta bad ( the oel) as in... breaking? Well... thats my 2¢. Good luck
