Is this a good sub?

I came across this combo deal for cheap. Probably not the best sub but I don't need the best sub either. This should fit in the evo trunk right? Anyone have Rockford audio and how do you like it?

That is actually entry level, but for the price, including a box that's a damn good. Even Rockford entry level sounds good

I decided instead to get this one:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-JLutdEN...10&I=575PL2112

So if it needs 200W RMS power is it ok to get a amp that has 220w x 1?

The speaker rating is 50-200 watts, so 50 watts is the minimum power rating 200 is the max. In answer to your question, is the amp 220 watts peak or RMS. If its 220 RMS you will be fine, if its 220 peak I wouldnt recommend it.

I would look at something like this for an amp http://www.crutchfield.com/S-IAuxbU8...120&I=575P3251 so if you want more power later you just need to upgrade to a 2 ohm sub.

I second this recommendation, i would also suggest you look into this amp:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wX0It63...0&I=500MRPM450

and this one if you want a lot more room to do upgrades:

A friend of mine looked at the internals of the Infinity Amp and was really impressed at the quality. This guy has been in car audio for over a decade and has won many sound competitions and had his own shop, so he knows what he's talking about.

Good luck.

Infinity and Alpine Amps are certainly up there with quality. I'm impressed with their stuff. I reccommend the same amps from above!

^ +2 rockford amps are loud but.. mostly that
get the P2 at least. if you got 2 tens in a sealed truck box it would hit allot harder and give you way more trunk space
oh yea here's my pick http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XhnDofE...0&I=500MRPM450

I run the Infinity 611a into a single 12" Kicker L5. So I obviously agree with that amp, however it seemed like he already had his heart set on the fosgate sub that wouldnt handle to power output of the 611a. I also run the Infinity 4 channel to my Kappa componants, I love their stuff.

Yeah the speaker rating is 50-200 watts RMS and the peak is actually 400 watts. I think I'll go with the Alpine MRP450. Thanks for the recomendations
