Volume going up and down?

I don't know if it's my head unit, probably is, but the volume has been changing itself depending on what rpm I'm driving at, anything under 3.5k and it's super low, anything above and it sounds like it's going to blow up my speakers. It's a pioneer h/u with infiniti speakers, stock wiring, no sub. Any ideas?

Any help appreciated.

Does it have that speed sensing technology?

Which Pioneer HU is it? How old? Who installed it?

Definitely sounds like speed sensitive volume... just hooked up to the tach, not the speedo.

Run through the settings on the Pioneer. It will be called ALS, more than likely, simply turn that off.

FYI the ALS is adjustable on those... I stil use low or mid-low on mine for rolling down the windows and road noise on the highway... mid and above just bump the volume way too much
