Easy install huh? Did you flip the bypass switch on the bottom. If you did, I hope YOU aren't watching movies and driving at the same time. LOL. Have fun with it and be safe.

No I didn't go with the bypass... I wouldn't mind watching DVD's while in motion but honestly I don't want to take the chance.

It sounds pretty good not as good as I'd like it to. Only 50Wx4 so it's doing a decent job I notice some static after I pass about 30 on the volume with radio and 20ish with a CD.

i have the same headunit. i really like the ability to hook up my ipod and watch mp4 videos or play games with my ps2. my only gripe about this is the navigation dvd, the maps are old and i got lost a few times. have you thought about swapping the headunit and the gauges? there is less glare on the screen if you do so

Can you still have good visual of the screen down by the shifter? Would the shifter be blocking the unit when it trying to "open out"?

Nah once the tint goes on next week the glare wont be to bad. Plus I really don't want to swap my gauges I know alot of folks love showing off there 1800 gauges but I'm just going to pick up the Blitz SBCi Color and have a nice all in one unit for all my needs.

Nice set up. I'm running a Kenwood nav myself. Thinking about hooking up my PS3 to it for my trip cross country in a few weeks. Keep my entertained while the wife is taking her turns behind the wheel.
