Why won't my A/C diods light up nemore?
I installed an Alpine radio with the harness and afterwards, the 2 diodes on my A/C cluster won't light anymore. Its the ones behind the rotary controls. Also the bulb on my boost guage no longer illuminates either.
What's the best way to trouble shoot this?
I have check the connection to the boost gauge and checked to make sure the cluster was plugged in. I checked fuse number 2 to make sure the gauge fuse hadn't blown. Everything appears fine. My gauges look dimmer too (even after adjusting them).
Is it possible to blow the diodes and the gauge bulb buy plugging the radio in? I didn't unplug the battery when I plugged in the alpine.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Very interesting.. I do know that LEDs require a certain amount of power before they light up. Any less than that amount and they don't just light dim - they don't light at all.
This is pure speculation but it sounds like somehow there is either a short or they're not getting enough juice.
But, before you can troubleshoot the lights, you need to get things back to a "known good state". In other words, put everything back the way it was when it was working (undo the stereo harness).
If it all goes back to normal then you need to contact the vendor of your stereo harness and tell them there is a problem. That's what I would do.
But, if you undo the stereo harness and put it all back to normal and the lights still aren't working, at least you have removed that extra variable from the problem. Fix the lights first before putting the harness back in again.
If that "breaks" the lights again then that only further verifies the harness is causing the problem.

I checked EVERY fuse just to be safe. There was a blown fuse in the engine bay which I had not expected. When I replaced it, it immediately blew again. So I took out the radio again and checked the harness. Turns out that my harness for the Alpine had a loose Orange wire so I tightened it back up and presto no more blown fuses. I seriously thought that the diodes where lit up by the gauge fuse in the passenger compartment.
Oh well, learn something new every day.
