Pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS. Best headunit I've ever used, hands down.

24bit Burr-Brown, 8v preouts, Automatic time-alignment and Auto-EQ (includes a sensor for calibration), Full featured EQ with adjustable filter slopes, no clumsy alpine interface or gimmicky controls.

Not to mention the unit looks like pure sex, and doesn't have blue lights.

Well, it does -- but they can be switched to white with a few button presses.



SonicElectronix sent me mine w/ a 2-year warranty, dash kit, and wiring harness for $250 about seven months ago.

It's a 10/10 in my world.

I second the Poineer recommendation with one caveat--the gears Pioneer uses for the faceplate are plastic which can cause some problems. Cannot beat the features for the price--time alignment, crossover, eq . . . maybe overkill for the OP's needs.

 

go with pioneer premier or eclipse, alpine has horrible preout voltage....

 

True . . . very important if you ever want to add an amp.

 

I went with an alpine, but mine is like 300$$, so in your case take a look on the Kenwood they got one under 200$ with usb which is pretty cool

 

Off topic but I have a Alpne CDA 9831 with 256 choosable colors for sale 120 shipped. Only ben in my car for 6 month just bought double din

the entire sony line is garbage manufactured by jensen - sony's only good stuff anymore is home theatre.

I took a look at the Clarion FB275BT... No Cd player but it looks really good... but then again I'm not sure how good it will look in the Evo (it's white/silver)

This is true . . . . Sony is capable of making some of the best equipment money can buy and has done it in the past. Just not currently.
