Left side running lights not working...

Left side running lights not working...
On my 2006 Evo IX, the left side running lights do not function. Brake Lights, head lights, turn signals all still function properly, but the running lights do not. I checked the wires at the lights, changed the bulbs for giggles and as best I can tell there is no light fuse that would differentiate left from right sides of the car.
I bought the car used and it does appear as though a piggy back was installed at the ECU harness, but so far as I know the lighting wires have no need to pass through the ECU, so I don't think my problem is there. My next step is going to be to pop off the steering column cover and see if the last owner pulled it loose or something in there while installing a turbo timer or something.
Anyone else have a similar issue or got any good ideas on where to look for a problem?
