Mini Battery/Stereo

I really want to get a mini battery kit so I can run a shorter UICP but the thing is I dont want to get rid of my stereo. Right now I have two amps one running a 12" sub and another running a set of components up front. How much power can a mini battery hold ? Im not going to be playing the stereo with the car off ever but will it have enough crank to start the car + stereo in northeastern PA winters ??

i have the full ETS kit w/ the mini battery and i am using a 450w amp to power my components and a 300w amp to run a 10" type s... i listen to alot of rap and when the bass hits my volt meter dips all the way to 12.5... i would just use your stock battery and mount it to the rear and power your stereo that way

You can make a mini battery work. There are several Braile models that have high cranking amps that would work. BUT, you need to get a higher output alternator. Otherwise, you're mini battery will go flat relatively quickly and you'll need a new battery. So, it can be done. Look for post by a member named TempeRacerGuy. He's using a mini battery with 3 amps...he's also upgrading his alternator so he doesn't kill his battery.
