MP3's sound crappy?? Perhaps to the trained ear of a hardcore audiofile. 99.8% of the population can't differentiate between a cd and a properly recorded mp3. Lets see, I have over 250 albums on my ipod that I have had for over 2 years now. All those albums ripped at a consistent 192 kbs. Truth is, a properly recorder MP3 track played on a Clarion Drz 9255 will sound better than anything played on a Pioneer head unit any day of the week.

I'm sorry man. Not trying to be an a$$. But, who really has a mini disc player these days? Didn't those things fall out of favor in 1998?

not in europe or japan. all the md/cd decks above are 2006 & newer. mp3 is superior in the us but not as popular overseas. when my brother was in Yokohama last year, he asked y very few ppl were rocking mp3s. they told him its not time effective for them to sit in front of a pc all day & download music. japan needs things yesterday is the phrase that was put to him. bullet trains are so punctual that the latest those trains run is 6 seconds...

it's not really me. the club scene is still old fashioned. only clubs newer than '05 have adopted the cd/mp3 idea. everybody else is still vinyl. especially overseas. i think they are adopting the if it aint broke dont fix it mentally. the equipment would really benefit them if they would just catch up.

the most awesome dj set i witnessed was a resident DJ in Munich wirelessly stream his mix from his apple laptop to the club!! the club in germany is called Sens-es Club...
