I'm looking at using a factory oem radio that may be plug in play for my evo... did any lancer bases or other model have oem radio with xm?

Unless the stock radio has an aux input (for something like a cd changer) you probably won't be able to do it without using a radio transmitter. You could also try looking around to see if there're any "boring" looking head units that do what you need.
