not an alarm... but i pulled out a fuse from the fuse box that made the motor die and prevented me from starting it. I extended the line and hid a switch, just flipped it when i parked and hoped it might throw off a typical idiot. If a pro wants it, hes going to get it regardless.

Not as good as an alarm, but better than nothing.

Cheers!

anybody knows an alarm that can just be activated by locking the doors with the remote control that comes with the car?

I have an Evo X and I got an Astroflex Alarm+Remote Start installed. Very happy with it. Its a 2way with all the sensors, extra sirens... Had it installed through Mitsu so paid a pretty penny but didn't want to affect my electrical system part of my warranty.

+1 recently had it installed. Installer messed up and didn't wire my HKS type 0 with it. Now I'm stuck with the Viper TT, which sucks because I need to press 2 buttons to activate it as opposed to just taking the keys out. Not sure with other alarms but you'll have to install the remote start to use the Viper TT.

Make sure you go through the install THOROUGHLY when getting written up, have your spare key ready... but I can vouch for this alarm, works great. Range is about a block or two.

PKU-MIT will let you use remote start without having key hidden IIRC.

Also, you can get a patch on your ECU flash that will allow you to disable the cars allowable rpms from 0-whatever. This way you can set it at say 2500 rpms and the valet can't rev the car over 2500 rpms. Mine is set to 0 so you can't even crank the car when I engage that option. If your interested in something like this, contact TouringBubble (of Project Tuning) as he can reflash this way for you.

I hear good things about the viper 5701 LE. It won a bunch of awards and is relatively cheap.

Compustar wssr is the best in my opinion!
i spoke with a couple reps.. and will be having this installed next month when i get my lisence back..
how can u beat being able to track the car anywhere in the united states.. being able to set MPH limiter.. range limiter if somone is driving it the car will shut off if they go beyond the range..
this is pricey but well worth it..
