I have had hundreds of issue's with compustar products and only a handfull of DEI product.

This is after over 10+ years installing on a regular basis. I always hated compustar. Nothing but annoying little problems that always return the car to my shop I worked at.

With DEI, not nearly as often and the menu's are more friendly IMHO.

For any of the older guys who used to install, I still have a viper 300 in one of my older cars, works like a champ. This was back in the day when you had to cut the traces to program the remotes and clip wires in the brain for options.

stay with alarm only

compustar is just fine. i switched over from viper, but both companies are about the same.
