for some reason when I try to set the turbo timer it says FAIL. any Ideas what I'm doing wrong

 

are you installing or you have a compustar with built in tt and trying to use it? did you do the reservation mode?

 

I have turbo timer when I hit the iii + iv button it beeps 3 times and says fail. Reservation mode?

the installer said he hooked up the wires for it and they read good so I'm not sure

 

to check if your reservation mode is active is after you stop the vehicle, raise the e-brake and don't press on the brake pedal, with the gear in neutral take the key out. at this point the engine should be running. get out of the car with the engine still running. if turbo timer is off, as soon as you close the driver door shut, the alarm arms itself, powerlocks all doors and turns the engine off. if turbo timer is on, the engine continues to run even after you close the driver door. you have to arm the alarm by pressing I and it should chirp-still with engine running. press and hold II(not immediately) if you want the car to remotely start.
