hi,
i wanted to know if anyone installed Boston Accoustic Pro series speakers in their evo,
Pro 50 [5 1/4] or Pro 60 [6 1/2 - 6 3/4]. Was there any need for additional modification to fit properly or it fit like a glove, because i like the brand a lot, but when i looked at the size and depth of the speaker it made me skeptical on buying it

any suggestion or opinions on these would be great

You can wait two weeks for me to tell you as I just bought Pro60's, but am waiting for a JL sub before I install it all.

They do not fit in the rear. I had to make some plates for them. I'm assuming the front will be the same.

 

Just finished the whole install and it took way, way, longer than I thought. I must be out of practice (10 years). You need to make MDF rings for the front too.

My system is now:

Pioneer 800prs
RF power 25 to Life
Boston Pro60's F/R
Audio Integrations box
Jl 12W6
25lbs of dynamatt (I know overpriced expensive I still like it)

In all I added 107lbs to the car it feels like a new car....if you love sound I highly recommend upgraded everything!

In all it sounds good. The bass is a little boomy for me, but the 800prs has a 16 band EQ, so all is good. No alternator noise or anything except for...................................dimming. The calculators may say you shouldn't see dimming I do on bass heavy hip hop songs when turned loud.

I'm very happy!!
