I don't know about the rears, but the fronts you will need some sort of adapter plate. The rockfords may come with it. I just traced out the factory speaker on 1/4" mdf and cut them out with a jig saw. As far as depth is concerned, you should be fine.

Where at in KS are you?

Yeah, I thought the name looked familiar. I'm in the Manhattan area for the rest of the month.

The fronts are 6.5s and I'm pretty sure the rears are too, but the fronts are mounted to a plastic thing and the hole in the door is for that, not the speaker itself.

I only replaced the fronts, cuz I don't use the rears. Just a personal preference.

I'm going to say yes. I haven't run rear speakers for going on 10 years now, so I don't really remember what rears sound like. I do remember feeling like something was missing at first, but you get used to it. I read something somewhere once a long time ago that there isn't speakers behind you in a live performance and all the sound come from in front of you. And most sq competition cars that I've seen only run fronts. Not that mines comp worthy by any means.
