Thinking about getting an evo ix

I'm thinking about purchasing an 06 evo rs (the link is too large to put). It's for a good price and all but it doesn't have a cdplayer or any speakers. How much and how hard do you guys think it would be to get an average system installed? Thanks a lot in advance for any input!

Depending on the materials and how good of a job, prices can vary...I'd ask around and find out your local shops that specialize in car audio and get at least 3 quotes, and possibly find feedback whether its by word of mouth, or any local forums...

You should've asked if anyone knows of a good/reputable shop in Louisiana...that offers to install stereo components and if so, how much that'd cost...

yea i just found the car earlier so i'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow to call around and get some prices.

Also, what kind of person could put 23k miles on a car with no stereo? Someone who lives at the track?

The rs has all of the wiring there. Just buy speakers and a head unit. Done.
You can source a stock cd player here, ppl are practically giving them away. Speakers, you could buy cheapos or quality. Also plenty of factory speakers going around. I have an RS model by the way

Like someone else said, all the wiring is there. Installation is simple, took me about an hour on my RS. The most annoying part was removing the door panels.

I'll vouche for that. I'm stationed in NOLA and you might find an Evo every couple of months being sold in Lousiana.

PS there's someone in Baton Rouge selling a GG IX MR or SE (I forgot). I'll try to get the link for you.

Thanks for the link, a little more than i can spend at the moment though :-( . So the RS does come with all the wires there, just not hooked up to anything? Also as the guy above asked... I wouldnt need to get new door panels or cut anything out right?

How much you spend is up to you and what you want (subs, hi power, etc.). With the wiring already there, installation shouldn't be any more difficult than an evo with an existing system.
