Factory Sub

does anyone have a clue if or how to add a amp onto the factory sub? i have an alpine deck with the preouts just trying to figure out how to hook it up

I wouldn't waste money on an amp to power just that one sub. It's only 8" (if I remember correctly) and it's probably pushing enough power as is.

Their is already an amp under the seat, if you have an aftermarket head unit, you need to get the correct wire harness that hooks up the the RCA's, its made by Mitah, just search that, its what you need.

It wouldn't sound right if you used a aftermarket amp for you factory subs. It will suck, just go with the full upgrade

If you want a cheaper alternative than a full system there is always base tubes but imo they aren't very good either but would still probly be better than trying to put an amp on the stock sub which probly wouldn't be able to handle it anyway. you can get a couple aftermarket 8" subs with a small 250 watt amp pretty cheap though I'd go that route if its a money issue and you want an upgrade. If it isn't a money issue then by all means there are MANY great ways to fill up your trunk.
