Bad battery or alternator?

So last night I was cruising around in my new VIII with some friends.. It got dark so I went to turn my HIDs on. When I turned the knob for the headlights, my car bogged and all the lights inside flickered. It does this whenever I turn the headlights on. Last night when I was driving home, it would do it when I hit the breaks or turn signal. It was bad... Any ideas?

Do this simple test:

Leave your car running and disconnect your negative battery cable. If your car dies, it's your alternator.
