who has an 1 din in-dash style radio with a relocation kit??
I was wondering how would it look.. and if it would even clear the HVAC controls.
I have seen some on here before but cant find them anymore.

anyone with a single din mounted down low chime in pleeeaaaase!

would a single din even clear around the HVAC controls??? and be able to see well enough?

 

i dont have one but im fixing to get it so ill post up when its installed

 

definitely let us know what you find.. i would definitely prefer a single screen double din set up opposed to the single din flip out screen if possible, and isn't a whole lot of fab work -- as i know it can be done but i'd like a simple solution that doesn't involve cutting and fabbing my stock interior..

this is a good point. also it's nice to be able to fold it away if you drop the car off for service work, etc.. that way someone is less liable to scratch it up, since the touch screen isn't even exposed.

 

I just relocated my factory HU to the lower DIN position and I can see it fine. I've got the OEM Sport gauges up in the normal HU location. No problems for me.

Perhaps you are asking something else though since I've heard mention of the orbital kit (for double din installation and HVAC relocation....)

yea, maybe on the cheaper ones.. but I would rather not have a double din in plain view and get robbed
