I have bought and instaled factory i pod adapter on evo 9. The adapter charges and you have control over you i pod from radio. You can acces up to 5 play lists from you i pod. It took me 15 minutes to instal and works perfect. You will only have problem with charging new 3g i phone or newest generation ipods because they use 12v and old ones use 5v charging. you can get taht seperate plug for around $15 from e bay, and i pod adapter was like $145 from dealer.

I wondering if the radio needs a 12v signal to switch to AUX mode. Nissan radios need this for the CD changer or external CD player.

What exactly are each of these ports for? My car, equipped w/ SSL, came w/ an aftermarket deck and I'm trying to put the stock stuff back in. However, I only have the antenna cable and the large white rectangular connector. I'm getting no sound and am thinking the din cable from the amp might have another end that goes into the deck? However, I couldn't find any other connectors in the dash =(

Would anyone happen to have a full wiring diagram for the SSL sound system?

Possibly some useful information:
I have an 05 raliart with the MN141190 head unit BUT mine says u091 in the upper right hand corner of the face plate.
Also when I press and hold the CD button it does not switch to AUX mode as listed on the note for the Aux input converter. http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piemit35.html

"NOTE: Factory radio MUST be "AUX" capable. To find out if your factory radio is AUX capable, press and hold the "CD" button to see if the radio enters "AUX" mode. This device will not work if your factory radio is not aux capable."

I am in the exact same situation. Did you seem to come to a conclusion on this? I haven't pulled my radio out yet, but at the moment I didn't see the point if my radio doesn't go into AUX mode.

I was curious if anyone knows which factory head units/models actually will go into AUX mode?

Interesting, looks like this vendor has figured out how to add an aux input to the P001 headunit

I have no relationship to this ebay seller, just curious if anyone knew any more details on where they spliced into the pre-amp?
