Evo audio boost..
So I figured - I wanted my car to be a well rounded system -- This included creature comforts as well as performance.
Thus it was time for a stereo upgrade to this pig. My limitations were - I was going to use the stock sub box from the SSL, and that I was not going to modify anything else in any form.
The break down includes:
AMP: KICKER 08ZX700.5
Tweeters: Stock
Front: Polk Audio db651s
Rear: Polk Audio MM651
Sub: Polk Audio MM840(single 4ohm coil)
Just curious what any one in the car audio world thought. I worked with about 4 people to come up with the combo, and spoke a lot with a shop back home that will be doing the install. I got everything for $675. So I consider it to be a deal. Just cant wait to listen to it in action.
This is my first time really dealing with car audio that didnt come from walmart. =) The dsm didnt deserve anything better.

First thing i did was upgrade the sound system, the stock one was pathetic. Enjoy the new sound. Where did you get the stuff? Have a shop do the install or did you do it all yourself? I mounted the amps for my setup under the seats, where did you put yours?

Mine will be installed by a good friend. Hes an audio guru.
His plan is -- Amp mounted to the back deck - as the amp is LARGE 21 inches long.
Most of the stuff was bought from crutchfield - as they have a 50% off sale on polk.
Wont be installed until I return from the contract im on. Dec 15th ish.. unless the usmc decides to hold me over longer.
