Does shorty antenna give bad reception
I have an ebay 3" carbon antenna, and, as expected, reception is definitely worse than stock. However, it's worth it to me not have the R/C toy car look.
Here's an option:

requires a ground and 12 source, though.
Don't bother with the gunmetal colour Agency Power antenna, BTW. Mine faded to silver in a few months.

why do you guy spend $38 dollar on the perrin antenna or any other brand when you can just cut the slim (thin) part of your stock antenna and just leave the bottom part which is exactly 4 inch length and now you have a clean *** looking shorty and no stactic and reception is just the same as before without spending a dime
