Pioneer Headunit?
I like Pioneer radios. Usually most aftermarket radios will sound better than a stock radio. That unit is also satellite radio ready so you can purchase the Sirius radio adapter for around 100 bucks and you'll be able to have Sirius on that radio.
pioneer makes nice stuff anyone that asks what kind of radio to get i tell them alpine or pioneer. it will sound better then stock just make sure you get the harness for the ssl
For the Pioneers, as you go into the 4000 Series and above, they become more flashier with bright blue lights, motorized screens, and color LCD display.
You arn't missing too much difference from the 3000 series and 4000 series of Pioneer radios. The 4000 series has 3 sets of RCA pre outs, the 3000 has 2 sets. The 4000 series might have a 4 volt pre out and the 3000 series I think have a standard 2 volt pre out.
Most Alpines are pretty flashy with colors that stick out. Kenwoods arn't too flashy. Some Sony's wont be too bad if it has a red lighting to try to blend in with the stock clusters. I don't remember JVC too well, but I think they were pretty bright and not very subtle.
If you don't want something too flashy, Try to find a radio that has colors similar to the stock red cluster lights, a dark colored radio, and not too bright lights. I'd check out a local audio shop to see the radios in person so you can get a sense of idea of how they will look in your car.
