Testing aftermarket bulb?

Anyone know if there is a way to test a fog light(H11) bulb to see if it works before I go through the hassle of removing stuff on my car to install it?

Here's the deal. I just picked up a '10 about a month ago and I want to put Nokya Hyper yellows in the Fog lights and DRLs(SSS package). I ordered a pair of Nokya Hyper Yellow 1156s for the DRLs and I want them to match(in color) with my fogs.

I have 2 pairs of Nokya Hyper Yellow H11s that I purchased for my old IX MR. The reason I have them is because at the time I had a pair that went out so I baught another pair. Then those went out a couple of days later and I later found out that the harness was the problem. So now I have 2 pairs of H11s but I want to see if there is a way I could test them out before I install them. From what i've seen on the How-to, it looks like it's a little more work than I though. I'm in Jersey an it's like 20 degrees everyday, so I want to make sure I'm installing bulbs that actually work beforehand so I don't freeze my *ss off for nothing.

Run a piece of wire from the positive terminal and one from the negative terminal and touch them to the prongs on the bulb.
