I saw an MR listed for sale around me with a sunroof. Its obviously aftermarket, but it looks like a cllean install. Had to do a double take at first.

Nah..haha it's not that kind of car wash. You drive through a tunnel and some dudes hand wash your car. Then you drive through the rinse and air dryer. It's to powerful though and after I heard the roof flex once, I fly through it. Give them a little more to hand dry but it's worth it.

I thought about that, but isn't the roof welded on?

I thought the roof was a main brace point for our car, so if done improperly you can severly mess up the way the car drives, like a bad alignment problem that you cant fix. Just my 2 cents

It is riveted on so you have to cut those and re-rivet, or possibly weld it. A lot of work as the other poster stated, but if that is what you want, it can be done. Similar to people that take off the stock roof and put on a fully CF roof, minus the possible welding part, of course.

Sunroof sacrifices body ridgitity (i.e., more body roll). There is a reason it is left off most real 'sport' models. But hey if you like to look up at the sky while driving go for it.
