i really don't understand why someone hasnt developed something like this for a reasonable price sooner.. In my opinion thats the whole problem here, the relocation kit that was previously offered was way overpriced for what it was. keep the price down and make one simple part and im sure people would jump at the op to buy it
i tried but all the plastic cnc companies charge ALOT of money just for trying to do this. most require an ordered batch up 300-500 units and at a steep cost. shelling out this plus auto cad design time really racks up the costs big time.

Okay so the digital control unit doesnt work because of other factors we all understand... but i would think that front panel on that unit and knobs would work.. why not just design a different faceplate that could be used with the radio reloacation kit? that way, the only part that would need to be rabricated would be a new face panel to go in front of the knobs

I agree that is what I did, I used the information from a prior from the "how to"on this forum and ground out a panel of carbon fiber which fits as an overlay on the original hvac plate that was ground down to fit inside the radio location kit!

I can make models/drawings in SolidWorks, if that would be helpful.
I like the HVAC faceplate idea too though.

yes! thats the easiest, cheapest solution to relocating the hvac controls, the only issue would be the defrost,ac,recirc buttons. Also putting the jdm/edm knobs on the faceplate would set the whole thing off
