Radio spacers needed?

I am relocating my Alpine D-105 in dash lcd into the lower din slot. I mocked it up and the screen will open well without hitting the shifter, hvac knobs, etc.

I am trying to get my hands on the spacers that come with the sports gauge kit to secure my lcd unit in the lower din. Do I need to have these spacers, or has anyone relocated a radio (or lcd player) to the lower din without using them?

Anyone have the part numbers just for the spacers and 4 long screws?

Also, the screen sticks over the screw holes on the inside of the upper lip of the relocate kit...any ideas for securing it without the screws? there is no way a 90 degree will fit in there and without the screws securing it, at this point, it sags and is being barely held into plce by the lower clips.

Thanks...
