dynamat cost to much. is there anyting else out there that i can use?

 

Stinger makes some similar product but I think is about the same price. You can check with you local home Depot not sure if there is a home application that might work. Also there is a pretty good mark up on dynamat and in this economy I would try to bargain with them. Everyone wants to make a sale.

 

You can find some sound deadening mat on eBay that is decent to replace the basic dynamat. Best to buy the large roll and split it with somebody if it's more than you need. If this is just to quiet small resonating issues it will help but of you are really looking to quiet things down from a car audio approach you will need more then just this stuff. Layers of medium density vinyl and closed cell foam are known to work very well but it will cost you! Hope this helps

 

i'm trying to stop the rattle from the sub and make the audio sound better in the car. i heard dynamat help if you put it around the speakers.
