Mounting a Corbeau FX1

I got in on a group buy and picked up a Corbeau FX1 Pro with the double locking slider mount. Keep in mind that I already have Binary lowering brackets, I just wanted something a little more firm and supportive for when I autocross.

Upon mounting the seat to the bracket and installing it all in the car I noticed right away that it was very tall, I'm willing to bet it was even taller than the stock seat height. My second complaint was that I felt like the seat was trying to dump me out as if it was tilted forward.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has used the universal side mounting brackets in our cars and if that will allow the seat to be mounted lower, and what their installation process was. I've looked for threads on here of such a thing but have come up empty.
