I believe this part is called the ignition connector. The unit is made of plastic and I believe mine is work because Im having starting issues but when I apply pressure to the harness with the key foward the cart starts. So Im sure its a short and mine moves around a little. It is the clip on the back of the steering column where the ignition harness plugs in. It appears this plastic unit is one piece and is held in tact by a phillips head screw.

Does anyone know the name and/or part number for it?

whenever i have an issue trying to find a part i usually go to mitsubishiparts.net,or better yet go to the dealer ,they have the diagrams with all the parts numbers on them,im a bit weary of the diagrams on the sites,think sometimes they are going to send me the wrong part and waste more time so the dealer is the best bet in my mind
