Here's a link to mine. It's nothing fancy but it's simple and practical if you still want trunk space. And it sounds great too!

Heres my setup.
two kicker comp pro 12" subs in custom mounted boxes. 2x 1200w 2 channel pioneer amps, 1 farad capacitor, 2x composite core pioneer 6" 240w front speakers with crossovers, 2x pioneer composite core tweeters, 2x fusion powerplant 280w competition series 6 by 9s with crossovers, Motorised foldout DVD headunit. also have a ps2 hooked up under the passenger seat.

can post up more pics of the amp installation if people are interested.

I would post mine up but it's pretty ghetto, it's sitting in the spare tire well held in place by ratcheting straps haha.. When I have some extra money laying around I'm going to redo all of my audio meaning components in the front, new speakers in the back, relocated the amps to maybe under the front seats, and have a custom trunk board made for the sub.

Yeah it works great. There is dynomat patches throughout the trunk basically making it so there is no rattle possible. To be honest tho, I never even bump my system that loud.

i get pretty bad rattle if i have the boot lid down aye. ive taped up the boot lid holes but it hasnt done much. might have 2 try a bit of foam or dynamat or something so i dont look like a clown from the outside even tho inside it sounds sweet as. my system has been tested at 133db

Another way to approach this issue is to notch-out the trunk's resonant frequency.
