Thumbs up New Pickup: Blendmount W/ Valentine V1

For those looking to find a clean and somewhat consealed radar detector placement, here's your solution.. Blendmount. I haven't heard too much talk on it here.

It illiminates the need for having to use those suction cups and hooks up to your rear view mirror stem.

That's because the pictures are focused on it. If I took a pic of the interior without mentioning it, you prob wouldn't tell.. It's not noticeable from outside, which is the most important thing. It just looks like part of the mirror.

Oh, and I'm hardwiring it this weekend so you won't be able to see the cord..

I prefer to have mine on my sun visor with a pre-run cable hidden under the body panels and roof liner. Much more "blended" I'd say from the outside and quickly removable in instances where I need to hide it. I use the V1 remote display on my steering column with velcro in tandem so the only lights on are not viewable from behind my car.

^^Whatever floats your boat man, I'm just trying to show another option for radar detectors.. I personally keep my garage door opener on my visor, so that's out of the question. I love this Blendmount..

I like the mount a lot. If it were me, I'd run a cable to their concealed display by the cig lighter. That way, the V1 is dark and virtually invisible, and all warning originate from within the confines of the cabin.

Very nice mounts. Picked one up a few weeks ago for my passport. Gotta say it looks weird with the v1 though...might just be the angel. Looks like it hangs down real low. With my passport it's up higher real tight with the mirror.

I'll be doing that this weekend. Just haven't had enough time or daylight..

If I adjusted the way it sits on the stem and then adjusted the elbow, it would be tighter.. Keep in mind these pics are real close. From normal view it looks pretty flushed.

YOu need to get rid of the spiral telephone cord to the cig lighter and replace it with direct wiring inside the headliner to the overhead lighting...much more stealth.
