Loose shift knob

Loose shift knob

hey guys, so im trying to remove my shift knob but the thing is loose on the inside and it just spins freely that its stuck and wont come off.. what can i do to take the knob off? thanks

Is it a stock knob? If so it could be the leather wrap is spinning, mine did that. Can you pull the knob a little off center and try and slowly spin it that way? Like you are trying to cross thread it a little, but just putting pressure on one side while spinning it.

yeah its the stock knob, well when im trying to remove by twisting (counter wise) the whole knob just keep spining and it wont go up, like the tread is gone..its really annoying

i had the same problem with my stock shift knob. all you have to do is pull while turning. this will enable the knob to slowly lean off the shift lever. if not i would do a plan B and cut the thing off.

any update on this? I have the same issue. I'll try to grab it tight and see if that stops it from rotating.

it's a little bit annoying. I'm fine with the stock knob otherwise, if I can fix it, I'll stick with it.

this is exactly what it is... do we have a known fix for this? this annoys me.

is the stitching real? was thinking maybe get a syringe and inject a little super glue in there.

there's absolutely nothing wrong with the stock shift knob in my mind... except for this.
