Starter/ Battery Issue

So I just bought an '05 MR about 2 months ago and lately, I have been having problems with my starter. It pretty much turns on whenever it wants to. I know that there are a lot of threads out there that discuss this situation but mine is UNIQUE.. After my starter COMPLETELY died, I had it rebuilt at a local shop and had it installed. It worked well for ONE day. The next morning, instead of turning on, it was making the same ticking noise as it was before. The alternator and battery are both working 100% but now the starter just clicks or randomly turns on (whenever it feels like it). I no longer think its a "starter" issue but I am wondering if this is the problem (in the pictures). What do you guys think? Is that loose cable suppose to be grounded somewhere?

If the starter is working when the car randomly turns on, then it's probably the wiring. there is a sticky thread here for dealing with electrical gremlins, it might have something useful in there for you

Also make sure the battery and the starter terminals are clean and tight
