My evo 8 won't open with the key on the outside on driver or passenger side. I just got the car like this and I'm wondering whatbi can look at to start fixing it.

 

I took off the panel and rod came off the lock cylinder as well as the electric wires coming off the cylinder. Does the car have to have electrical power to open the doors?

 

when i took my panels off to put new speakers this happened. It was because the inside door handle moved out of place. All i had to do was "click" it into its proper place by pulling back on it then it worked fine. I'm not sure about the electrical question but i doubt the doors need to have power to open, they are "power doors" but there is a key so you can open and close is that way too

 

I fix!ed everything in the door panel and it wont open from the outside unleas u have the battery hooked up.
