Car Alarm Specialists Step in!

I have a compustar alarm system in my car and I am in need of a new remote. I need to know if I can get any compustar remote and reprogram it to my car or does it have to be a specific model corresponding to my current remote? Hopefully that makes sense, lol. Any input is appreciated.

pending on how new your unit is makes the difference of what remote you get. we use the same brains yet a different antenna and remote pending if the customer is getting a half mile, mile, etc... pull either the part number or the fcc id number off the brain and you can type either into google and it'll show you your options. compare them to your antenna unless you recognize the remote right away... hopefully that helps.
